Honey Malted Oolong
- In this enigmatic kombucha, the floral, honey fragrance of Narcissus Oolong tea combines with honey malt and crystal malts. The resulting blend is a smooth but sour malt potion that tears down barriers even as it recreates them.
Vanilla Oaked Earl Grey
- For this enticing batch of kombucha, we took a fan-favourite, Cream Earl Grey tea and fermented it along with toasted oak for an unmistakable earthy flavour. The vanilla, oak and Earl Grey combination is perfect for dreary winter weather yet it is still light and refreshing.
Lychee Melon – Kombucha from Top Hat (That’s us 😉 ):
- Starting with Jasmine Lychee green tea and dry hopped with Hull Melon. It’s a winning combination, reminiscent of rose, grape, strawberry and melon.
What Is Kombucha?
Kombucha (pronounced kum-boo-cha) is a living, slightly tart, carbonated tea beverage. It is low in sugar and rich in probiotics. Kombucha is made by fermenting black, green or white tea and sugar, with a culture called a SCOBY. A SCOBY is a Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria & Yeast. Because it is fermented, kombucha does contain trace amounts of alcohol, however at 0.5% ABV or less, it is considered a non-alcoholic beverage.
What is Water Kefir?
Similar to kombucha, kefir (pronounced kuh-feer) is a lightly fermented beverage made by fermenting sugar water with kefir grains. Unlike a kombucha SCOBY, water kefir colonies look like small crystals! Water kefir also has many of the same positive benefits of Kombucha.
