Azacca hops are gaining popularity in West Coast style IPAs for their intense tropical characteristics, which have been described as ripe mango or papaya, with notes of orchard fruit (pears, apples), pine needles and citrus. Named after the Haitian god of agriculture, Azacca hops are bold and exotic. They can be an excellent choice for late/aroma additions or for single-hopped beers. 10.3 % Alpha Acid.
Azacca hop pellets are currently available at Barley’s in 1 oz packages. $3.90 each.
