Ahtanum hops are named after the location of the first hop farm in the Yakima Valley (WA). Its an aroma hop variety with moderate bitterness (Alpha acids = 4.9%). It can be compared with Cascade or Amarillo with its grapefruity, floral aroma. High in myrcene and caryophyllene oils, it has a sweet and slightly peppery character. This hop is ideal for late additions, dry hopping or when you want that “Cascadian” quality with subdued bitterness levels.

Has anyone here made a SMASH beer with this hop? If so, how did it turn out?
I just racked a SMaSH with Ahtanum/MO last night. Before dry hops, it was super tasty.
